ABOUT
A 2023 Production Music Association Mark Award nominee, Rick McGuire is a composer and drummer based in Los Angeles. His sound blends electronic colors and acoustic textures with a strong pulsing undercurrent.
Recent projects include additional music for Legends of Evergreen Hills (Chick-Fil-A), Tamerlane (Mystery Box) and Ninjago: Dragon's Rising (WildBrain Studios).
Rick’s music has been featured on several Apple Music Editorial playlists (Sleep Sounds, Ambient Chill, Pure Meditation, among others) and in Apple Fitness+ workouts; most notably through his ambient project, At Dusk.
Additionally, his music can be heard in numerous reality TV shows; most recently The Curse of Oak Island, The UnXplained, and Ancient Aliens among others.
He studied film scoring at the University of Southern California and New York University.
Beyond music, Rick is an avid marathoner and Spartan racer.
